Builder Kids - How to build a birdhouse out of a pallet - Easy Weekend Project

This is part of our new Builder Kids series where the kids come up with an idea and we build it. Siena has been wanting to build a birdhouse for a while now, so we finally did it. This is fairly straightforward project with tools that most people will have. You can start with a pallet or some 1x3s from your local lumberyard. Actually, you can use whatever wood you want and then just adjust the dimensions accordingly. This birdhouse turned out rather large. It's more like a bird hotel ;)

Either way, you'll need:
*Compound miter saw, circular saw or hand saw
*Hammer
*Tape measure
*Pencil
*Square
*Nail gun, nails, or glue
*Drill and bits (if you want to drill a hole for the birds, or to install a perch)
