Elfie is a studio ghibli style anime like nausicaa of the valley of the wind. Hayao miyazaki didn't do the art, but it's so close it was never released on DVD, bluray, or any streaming sites. Anyway, today Kenny Lauderdale reviews the full japanese movie & asks, is Elfie of the Blue Sea the best anime to watch for nausicaa fans, or just recommended for otaku? Mostly it's a friendly family friendly anime, but it's got a surprisingly dark ending that scared anime fans in the 80s. That said, people have a lot of nostalgie for this movie. There weren't any discussions on this movie, so this is less an anime analysis & more of a commentary spotlight.
