Teaching Your Dog to be Calm in a Vehicle

Daisy and Olaf can both be a bit anxious while riding in a vehicle. One thing we are practicing is getting them to hold down stays in a vehicle. First we are starting off with the vehicle in park and the trainer at the door asking for the down. Next we will move to having the trainer in the front seat and then start having the vehicle in motion. Sometimes if we are able to physically get a dog to stop pacing and hold still their mind will begin to follow and also calm down as well.
