Pulling on leash is probably the number one concern we hear from dog owners when then come to us looking for training. Many of them have been trying for months to stop their dog from pulling using numerous different tool, trainers and methods without the results they are looking for.

While pulling on leash is one of the most common issues we see it's also one of the easiest to fix. The first step is getting the correct tools and fitting them properly for your dog. In this video Darla (one of our board and train dogs) came in on an easy walk harness. You'll see even with the harness which is supposed to deter pulling, Darla is still able to pull. The first thing we do is switch her out to a properly fitted prong collar which should sit high on the neck and snug.

From there you'll see how we slowly introduce the new tool to her and the concept of pressure and release. You'll notice with the prong collar we're able to quickly eliminate the pulling using even less pressure than a harness.
