Pozzuoli: Love, Lava and Wine (Part One) #volcano #wine #italy

PART 1: Campi Flegrei—Phlegrean Fields (meaning “Flaming Fields”) is massive dormant volcano area under Pozzuoli, just west of Naples.

The area comprises two dozen craters and one third of it lies under the sea and there is over a million people who living in the area.

The area is also known for its indigenous grape varieties, Falanghina and Piedirosso growing on the volcanic soil.
