Teaching my kids to read WITHOUT EVEN TALKING!

Today the girls learn 3 new blends without me saying a word! You don't need anything fancy to teach reading, just consistency, a pencil, and paper. You really don't even need to say much. I used this teaching technique often as an upper elementary school teacher, when practicing student directed learning. It got kids paying attention and challeneged them to think more, ensuring I didn't figure it out for them.

Sorry for the quality, shows even a nice camera on the wrong settings is totally pointless! It would have been shot better on my cell!
