Teaching Dictation to Children

In today's video I run into a raising-strong-girls issue as we go on a walk and the girls practice r-controlled vowels (bird, flower, car) and try to distinguish between (ir, er, ar) while dictating. This ( I. AM. NOT. CUTE.) is something the girls, especially Amahle, say often. I think it’s because people are constantly saying they’re cute, and they associate cuteness with being little. It can be really embarrassing, we walked into the fabric store and the woman working said “you’re so cute” - Amahle screamed “I am not cute!” 😔 😅🤗Let me know your thoughts over at my IG — https://www.instagram.com/akeebamaze/
