String under roots at planting, an easy support method for tall growth under cover

I have used this method for 35 years and show how it works for tomatoes. Also good for cucumbers, melons, peppers and aubergines - I show a two-string variation for them. No stakes or tying in.
More about growing these plants, especially side-shooting in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N586k4Jv1Xg, and see them five weeks older in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54deYPBqeAQ
Between the tomatoes are garlic which we sowed in October, and it grows between the winter salads, then crops mid June before the summer crops are too large.
See my website for more about growing in general, and the no dig method for easier gardening with less weeds https://www.charlesdowding.co.uk/
