Number 15 Hyundai

Hyundai is one of the most popular auto brands in the world. At first glance, the popular logo might seem like it represents only the “H” which stands for the first letter of their name, however, it holds a much deeper meaning than that. Hyundai means “modernity” which is also in line with its brand slogan “New Thinking. New Possibilities”. The true origin of the logo represents a stylized picture of two silhouetted individuals that are shaking hands in a leaning position. One individual is a representative of the company, while the other is a satisfied and happy customer. The handshake also represents an exchange of trust and satisfaction between the company and its clients. Also, the handshake is slanted forward meaning one individual is leaning actively to the right and the other is leaning passively to the left. The oval shape around the figures represents Hyundai’s goal of global expansion and their aim to expand past the borders of Asia where they have their origin, and into the global market. The silver used for the logo represents the sophistication, perfection, and creativity of the company. An interesting fact to note about Hyundai is that each model of their cars has a specific type font and text style used for it.

Number 14 Adidas

Adidas is another brand that has maintained consistency over the years and are constantly expanding their reach but still have the same goals and quality in mind. Millions of customers closely associate Adidas with their three stripes and they have stayed true to those stripes since 1949! On the first-ever Adidas logo, they have a spike running shoe standing between the extra-long ends of the two “d” in the name. Unfortunately, another company Karhu Sports was already using the same icon and so the founder of Adidas, Adolf Dassler, bought the trademark for the equivalent of €1,600 and two bottles of whiskey. In the early ’70s, they incorporated the third stripe and also created the trefoil logo that is used on apparel and shoes. The three stripes on the trefoil logo represent the company’s focus on variety and the leaves represent the three parts of the world where their products can be bought. In 1991, Adidas introduced yet another logo, three tilted stripes that look like a mountain to represent their performance line and it is used for wears used by professional athletes. It also shows that you can overcome challenges and pursue your goals. By the early 2000s, they introduced their third design, a circle crossed by three curvy lines. In the brand name, Adidas begins with a lowercase letter to show that they produce casual sports gear that is accessible to all. The classic three parallel lines on their products have now become synonymous with the brand.
