Who Holds the Microphone - Amplifying women's voices through participatory video
This is an introductory video to UN Women’s “Who Holds the Microphone?” multi-media research study. Inspired by the transformative goals of the Grand Bargain around 'participation' and 'localization,' UN Women set out to hear directly from women and girls about their experiences with gender transformative change in humanitarian crises. Using an innovative participatory research methodology, UN Women conducted studies in Bangladesh, Colombia, Jordan and Uganda, with women taking over the microphone to make their voices heard.
