Claude Managed Agents: Full MCP Setup with Firecrawl and Linear

I walk through setting up Claude Managed Agents from scratch, connecting Firecrawl and Linear as MCP tools so the agent can fetch recent AI news and automatically create tasks in Linear. Instead of using the quick start wizard, I go through the full manual setup so you understand exactly how credential vaults, environments, agents, and sessions fit together.

Cloud managed agents are still in beta, but the core architecture is already usable. The challenge is that the quick start assistant and guided builder don't always configure third-party MCP servers correctly, especially custom ones like Firecrawl. If you rely on the wizard, you end up iterating without understanding what went wrong.

This video covers the entire configuration flow manually: creating a credential vault with Firecrawl (bearer token) and Linear (OAuth), setting up a cloud environment with the right network permissions, defining an agent with MCP server URLs and tool specifications in JSON, and finally creating a session that ties everything together. I also show how to troubleshoot the common "MCP server host blocked" error by toggling network access in the environment settings, and how to edit your agent config after creation using the guided edit option.

This is useful for anyone building AI-powered automation workflows where an agent needs to pull data from one service and push structured output to another. Think: automated research pipelines, content monitoring agents, or any workflow that chains web search with project management tools.
