The /search Feature Explained: Building a Perplexity AI Agent with 1 Prompt

In this video, we explore our Search endpoint by building a Perplexity clone with just a single prompt.

We start by breaking down how the Search feature works, covering all the key parameters like sources (web, images, news), location-based filtering, category selection (code, research, PDFs), and time-based search for fresh results. Understanding these features is crucial because it empowers you to build way more than just a simple search.

Then we put it all together by prompting Claude to build a full Perplexity-style app using Next.js and the AI SDK. The result? A functional AI-powered search interface with streaming answers, related questions, images, and news, all powered by our Search endpoint.
