Magickal Strawberry Basil Galette || Bring Peace, Love, and Luck || Kitchen Witchery

Here is a very much requested recipe for my magickal strawberry basil galette! I love baking and I am especially drawn to working with pastries and so now that it's spring I've been incorporating the flavors of the earth into everything I create. This recipe was inspired by the land and incorporates the energies of peace, love, and luck. I hope you all give it a try and enjoy!

Ingredients:

Crust:
1 Tbs cinnamon sugar
1 tsp salt
10 Tbs butter
2 egg yolks
4 Tbsp ice water
2 cups flour
Filling:
1 lb strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
zest and juice of one lemon
2 Tbs of cornstarch
pinch of salt
Topping
1 egg
corse sugar
fresh basil
optional whipped cream

Bake at 450 for 20 - 25 minutes
