SuperOne Rounds 3 & 4 Friday Testing Part 1 of 3 | GYG Practice & New Camera Angles
We’re at GYG for Friday testing ahead of Rounds 3 & 4 of the Super One National Kart Championship.
This weekend, we decided to try something a little different with the footage and editing styles across the videos.
In this Part 1 video, we’ve tested three different camera setups to see what works best for race weekend coverage and what you, the viewers, enjoy watching the most.
The first few practice sessions are filmed using front camera footage only, mainly to show where overtakes happen around GYG and how the racing lines develop around one of the UK’s most technical kart circuits.
We then move onto front and rear camera footage together, before finally mixing front cam, rear cam, and handheld footage into a more cinematic race weekend style edit.
This is all part of improving the channel and giving viewers the best possible experience while still keeping the videos raw, authentic, and focused on real karting.
GYG is one of the most unique tracks in UK karting, with huge elevation changes, fast flowing corners, technical overtaking spots, and constantly changing conditions. It’s a proper challenge for drivers and one of the most demanding circuits on the Super One calendar.
As always, we’re documenting the full season from a real parent’s perspective, showing the reality of national karting, the highs, the lows, the costs, the preparation, and everything that comes with racing at this level.
Part 2 and Part 3 will cover the actual race days for Rounds 3 & 4.
👉 After watching, let us know in the comments which camera style you prefer:
Front camera only
Front & rear cameras
Full mixed edit with handheld footage
Your feedback genuinely helps shape the future videos on the channel.
