Tierra Del Mar vs Facebook - Update for September 3, 2020

This update includes a review of a number of items:
• Tierra Del Mar’s continuing opposition to the Facebook drilling project has been covered by local, regional and national news outlets.
• Some members of the State Land Board that approved the Facebook project had received sizable political contributions from Facebook … and did not disclose this.
• The Oregon Fishermans Cable Committee (OFCC) which repeatedly testified in support of the Facebook project was paid $154,000 by Facebook in 2017.
• Facebook is required to provide State authorities an environmental impact statement. But, the statement will be based on data screened by Facebook.
• The Oregon Coast Alliance (OrCA) is preparing to sue Facebook for violations of the Clean Water Act.
