Snow on the Western Slope

Wet squalls coming in off the Pacific Ocean will quickly apply a thick coat of snow on the western slope of Oregon's Cascade Range. A forty minute drive from Salem got us to where the high fields of the Willamette Valley ended and the snow covered forest began.
