Ask anyone involved in aviation about Moontown Airport and they all have a story. This is probably one of the best-known grass strops in the country. It's avaiation like it once was and an exciting place to visit or just hang around and share a story.

Ray flies N15057, his Piper Cherokee 140 (150 HP) PA28, to Moontown airport and back to Huntsville Executive Airport. Moontown Airport has a rich history of providing a fantastic place for pilots and aviation lovers of North Alabama to gather and see, talk about and experience aviation on the perfect turf runway. As long as the weather is nice, people are usually at Moontown. A local breakfast is held every 3rd Saturday for fly-in and drive-in traffic.
