White House Roasted Over Meme Portraying Donald Trump as James Bond

The White House posted an edited image of Donald Trump as James Bond, drawing quick late-night responses and renewed attention to 007’s next lead. Amazon MGM Studios confirmed the James Bond casting search is underway, with casting director Nina Gold working alongside director Denis Villeneuve and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman. The White House meme circulated as industry discussions focused on the next Bond’s scope and tone.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Kimmel used the post for monologue jokes, including a nod to “Octopussy.”

Gold described seeking a highly charismatic lead, with the role expected to span at least three films. Former Bond Pierce Brosnan has also discussed returning under the right circumstances.
