Edible Wild Plants in the Philippines - PRIMITIVE FOODS (vegetables) - Hagnaya

This is one of the eatable wild plants in our locality. You need to cook it first just like other vegetables. Only the shoots or tender leaves are edible (those red or orange in color). We call it HAGNAYA, I don't know other names. It has a crawling and climbing stem. I think, it is a kind of a fern because it doesn't produce flowers - I'm not pretty sure. It is easy to cook and safe to eat. You must know this plant, to save money and for survival purposes. It is the best food in pandemic times. Cooking that plant in boiling water together with noodles pack is very delicious.😋
