Endemic Tree in the Philippines Yielding an EDIBLE Fruit - Little Variety of Katmon
Katmon tree is endemic in the Philippines which is also used in different cuisine due to its sourness. This little variety of katmon only have a moderate sourness, that's why it is delicious for me. It is found in the dense forest ang yielding fruit most of the time. You can find fruit even on its trunk. The pulp and skin of the fruit are both edible. We call it pali, but known as elephant apple, katmon(catmon) and Dillenia philippinensis.
