Beautiful view of paddy cultivation at Dakshina Kannada | ನೇಜಿ ನೆಡುವ ಸುಂದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು

Paddy cultivation has few steps. Replantation or transplantation of seedlings is one of them. Small seedlings can be seen in paddies after 4 days of soaking in water. After 18 days, replantation is done. This video shows how the farmers follow replantation of paddy seedlings in the correct order by using a marked rope. One of them says, villege life is best because we need not pay for anything and we can have, what we cultivate, being self reliant. There are 3 seasons of paddy cultivation, "Enelu" (during monsoons), "suggi" (just after mansoon) "kolake" (after winter, before summer). This is the video of Suggi season. In between seasons, field is used to grow vegetables.
