My 1st multi tier cat scratching post! DIY wood project used scraps, a broken tree & new carpet.

This was my first time building a multi tier scratching post. The only thing new on it is the carpet, rope and some hardware. I had most of the hardware already.

I used leftover scrap from previous projects. The birch branch was from a tree damaged in a storm. My son was kind enough to scale the tree with a pair of branch loppers! I was driving home from picking him up at work. You know you are Canadian when you climb a tree in a Tim Horton's uniform...bahaha!

Some of it was mdf from when I was making thin checker boards. Please remember to wear a mask or better yet a respirator when creating dust from mdf. That stuff is made with formaldehyde! I didn't know it at the time. I'm thankful I covered it so he can't access it.

Dusty Snugglebum par cores off this creation every day! He loves it!
