In tonight's top story: The Rafah border crossing remains closed despite a deal between Israel and Egypt that should allow aid to enter Gaza within the next 24 to 48 hours. Crates of aid have arrived in Egypt, but the issue is getting them to the people who desperately need them. Crystal Goomansingh reports.
The surge in violence in the Palestinian territory is raising concerns that it could trigger a wider war. The Palestinian National Authority reports that 75 Palestinians have been killed since the Hamas attack. Demonstrations began after Friday prayers, with Palestinians in the West Bank expressing anger and helplessness as their friends and families in Gaza were bombed relentlessly. The Quebec government's decision to double tuition fees for out-of-province students attending English universities has sparked a controversy. While the government argues that it's necessary to protect the French language, English universities warn that it sends a message to Anglophone students that they're not welcome.
