How do you plan for a life that matters – to be much more than a list of accolades, a Wikipedia page, or a wall of achievements? How do you do you create eulogy virtues: the qualities that will mean something when your time on earth is done? Greg Brenneman outlines five steps for both your organization and, most importantly, for your life. Greg Brenneman, one of the world’s leading business turnaround executives, now serves as Executive Chairman of the private equity firm CCMP Capital. Mr. Brenneman served as Chairman, CEO and/or President and/or COO of Continental Airlines, Burger King and PwC Consulting. In 1994 Mr. Brenneman founded Turnworks, Inc. (“Turnworks”), his personal investment firm that focuses on corporate turnarounds. He is a former vice president at Bain and Company and has served on the board of directors at several large public firms, including ADP, Continental Airlines and Browning-Ferris and Francesca’s. He continues to serve on the board of firms such as The Home Depot, Baker Hughes, Inc., Hayward, ecovyst, BGIS and the Baylor College of Medicine. Mr. Brenneman has won an Emmy Award, written the book Right Away and All at Once: Five Steps to Transform Your Business and Enrich Your Life and owns Porta’Vino, a restaurant in The Woodlands, Texas.
