In this video I remove the rear A/C panel of a 2010 BMW 528i in order to retrieve beads that entered through the dash vents and rolled to the low point of the duct work in the rear. Every time the car stopped or started the beads would make an annoying noise from the a/c duct work under the arm rest. This is my sons vehicle so he was very discouraged about having passengers in the car with this distraction. So basically, it was an emergency exploratory operation. My guess is this type of work would cost you $150+ at any body shop. It's not hard work, but time consuming and could take exponentially more time depending on exactly where the objects are lodged. Let me know if the comments if you've experienced a similar issue and if you were able to DIY it, or if you paid for professional work. If paid, let us know how much.
