Best Cheesesteak In Leesburg Could Change Lunch

One of the DMV’s most hyped sandwich shops is heading to downtown Leesburg.

Soko Butcher is taking over the former La Taqueria location at 15 Loudoun Street SE, bringing the same cheesesteak that Washington Post readers voted best in the area. 

The sandwich is built with prime rib, caramelized onions, and housemade cheese wiz. But the bigger flex is that Soko is also a butcher shop known for locally sourced meats, bone broths, and beef tallow fries. 

And chef Brad Feickert is a Purcellville native with high level kitchen experience from VOLT to Australia’s Attica and Brae. 

So now the question is simple.

Is Leesburg ready for a sandwich spot that wants to be a destination, not just a quick lunch stop?
