Alkali metal converter - almost ready!

The ChemTalk team is building their own alkali metal converter, inspired by a Cody's Lab video.

In this video, we show our progress and talk about the next steps. The hard work is done - so stay tuned for further updates, where we try out our new device!

An alkali metal converter allows the operator to heat a mixture of lithium metal and potassium, rubidium or cesium chloride until the reduced alkali metal distills off and re-solidifies in a separate vessel, giving us pure potassium, rubidium, or cesium metal.
