12 volt battery powered 18650 spot welder experiment part 3: How timer works

Do this at your own risk. This is not a tutorial.
I added a simple but critically needed digital timer module to my diy 18650 spot welder.
This video explains the operation of the digital timer control DK-C-02 available on eBay for about $3.50. Enter this search term in eBay search box to find this item:
DC 12V LED Display Digital Delay Timer Control Switch Module PLC Automation New

The timer can be set at .1 second interval to help users get more consistent welds. I have to get used to just clicking the momentary button once and release for the weld. Otherwise, I would get an unintentional "double pulse." For thin .1mm nickel strips, the best setting so far is .2 seconds.
This is the type of timer you know you need but don't know why yet.
