Kevin O’Kelly takes to the streets of Dublin to get people’s reaction to the demise of ‘The Evening Mail’ newspaper.

Kevin O’Kelly reports on the publication of the final edition of ‘The Evening Mail’ newspaper after 139 years. He takes to the streets of Dublin to investigate the effect it will have on newspaper vendors and buyers.

Most of ‘The Evening Mail’ readers he meets tell him that they will just buy a different newspaper instead. Some say they will miss the letters section. Crowds gather around him in the hope of getting their faces on television.

Kevin O’Kelly concludes that people are sorry but not that sorry to see ‘The Evening Mail’ go. The real losers are those who have lost their jobs at the paper.
