How This Exhaust Fan Actually Works

This is how the whole system comes together.

That box we’re welding is what the exhaust fan mounts to on the outside wall and that fan is what does all the work.

When the hood is turned on:
• Air gets pulled through the hood
• Travels through the duct
• Gets drawn out by the exterior fan

We’ll tie the duct into that box from above the drop ceiling and connect everything together.

It’s all about proper airflow if this part isn’t done right, the whole system won’t perform.
