AUTOIMMUNE ENCEPHALITIS WEBINAR SUMMARY
This presentation reviews the clinical, radiologic, spinal fluid, and antibody associations of autoimmune encephalitis. It also briefly highlights the treatment approach and prognosis. The presentation will update participants on autoimmune encephalitis arising in novel settings.
By the end of this webinar, you should be able to
1. Recognize the clinical manifestations of autoimmune encephalitis.
2. Understand the utility and pitfalls of neural autoantibody testing.
3. Appreciate the novel settings in which autoimmune encephalitis is arising.

Dr. Eoin Flanagan is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Consultant in the departments of Neurology and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN). His clinical expertise and research is focused on the diagnosis and management of autoimmune neurological disorders with an emphasis on inflammatory autoimmune spinal cord disorders and their mimics including their MRI patterns. He also has an interest in the epidemiology of inflammatory demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system and autoimmune neurologic disorders.
