I'm a transgender woman living in an ultra conservative American town.

Alyssa grew up in a very religious home in a conservative town in the US. She had to learn about what being transgender actually was and meant given the lack of exposure to it growing up. Coming out and beginning her transition lead to her dad disowning her and her being excommunicated from her church, which means she is forced to cut contact with her close family and friends. Alyssa shares her experiences, coming to terms with who she truly is and staying strong/coping with the way it has been received by others. She also shares advice to other people who have the same feelings and might be afraid or those currently undergoing transitions, social or medical. Alyssa has chosen not to go on camera until she moves to a safer location.
