Greece, a relatively small country in the Balkans, Southern Europe, has a history of over 5000 years. The Greek culture affected the whole world as Greeks invented the education and use of math and science, philosophy, democracy and many other contributions to the ancient and modern worlds. The Greek language is one of the oldest and richest languages on earth and it gave birth to the Latin language and its alphabet gave birth to all the other European alphabets. The Greek king Alexander the Great, the king of Macedon, conquered most of the ancient world and spread Hellenic culture and language. Greece is the mother of Western civilization and the mother of science and democracy...
