Ease Shin Splints With Tibialis Anterior Self Massage

Prompted by a question on Instagram, I'm going to talk about how to ease shin splints with a tibialis anterior self massage. I'm going to show how to find your tibialis anterior, where to massage it, and how to massage it with and without tools.

Shin splints are caused by tight muscles on the front of the lower leg pulling on their attachments. A key factor in treating shin splints is to get those muscles to relax. I'll show you how to use your heal to release your tibialis anterior as well as how to use a Theracane and a Knobbler.
