FOOT HEALTH MONTH 2018 #14

Thickened, damaged toenails can be difficult to live with. They cause pain in shoes, they are hard to cut and can be embarrassing to have.

Unfortunately, once a nail becomes very thick and deformed, the change is usually permanent. You have only two options to treat this issue:
1. Conservative Treatment - routine nail trimming/filing
2. Permanent Removal - surgical procedure where the toenail is removed and an acid is applied to stop any future nail growth.

Today we are treating a woman's thickened toenail using the conservative treatment.
