Mia Morris / “Ireland, Scotland England & Wales” / music & music business vlog #49

This vlog covers a short tour back in the UK and Ireland. I got to play both as an artist and as a side musician for Beth Nielsen Chapman. It turns out the most challenging aspects of this particular adventure all had to do with traveling. I was on planes, trains, ferries, cars, and sometimes all of them in 24 hours.

This entire trip was such a blast that I can’t pick a favorite show; but I can say getting myself and my gear from Scotland to London to play a sold-out show in Camden did feel like an accomplishment, especially after arriving back in Wales in time for the performance the next day. Per usual, I met a bunch great people and talented musicians along the way, and I never take for granted how lucky I am to have music be both my job and my passion.

I’m 18 years old and I’m a professional musician, songwriter & artist based out of Nashville. I play lots of instruments but the ones that I’m hired to play most often are drums, cajon and bass. I’ve been posting music related videos on YouTube since I was 9 years old and began playing professionally at 14. I’ve always loved music and I’m grateful that it’s also become how I now make a living. This channel started as a combination of my fascination with drums and YouTubers and it’s now turned into a much larger music and music business diary. My goals haven’t changed all that much over the years and stay pretty simple. I’d love to keep making music and hope to keep getting better at it.
