What Is a Variable Rate Listing Agreement
A Variable Rate Commission clause included in your listing contract will reduce your total commission obligation in the event that a cooperating broker commission is not paid out. Most agents won't bring this up voluntarily, but many will agree to it if asked. As a rule, I include varaible rate listing clauses in all of my listing contracts.
