Academy award-winning director BRYAN FOGEL talks with KPCC’s The Frame’s JOHN HORN about his latest documentary, THE DISSIDENT, focusing on the brutal assassination of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the global cover-up. Presented as part of The Washington Post’s Press Freedom Partnership.
THE DISSIDENT tells the story of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was critical of his beloved Saudi Arabia and of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's policies. On October 2, 2018, Khashoggi entered the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul and never came out. His fiancée and dissidents around the world were left to try and understand his brutal murder.
