Donald Trump reveals US to hold major direct talks with Iran, issues warning ahead of meeting
US President Donald Trump has said he will hold direct high-level talks with Iran to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program.
The talks between the two world leaders are set to occur on Saturday when President Trump hopes a deal can be made to avoid “the obvious” military alternative.
President Trump teased the “big meeting” with Iran to reporters on Monday, US local time, in the Oval Office while hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The President claimed it would be a “very bad day” for Iran if the talks between the two countries were to be unsuccessful, as he warned Tehran would be in “great danger”.
