Presenting a profound and spiritually uplifting rendition of Kazi Nazrul Islam's devotional masterpiece "Jaha kichu momo achhe priyotomo," performed by the eminent exponent Sumon Chowdhury. This performance was recorded live during 'Bengal Boishakhi Utsab 1421' on Pohela Boishakh (April 14, 2014), organized by the Bengal Foundation at Bengal Shilpalay, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

"Jaha kichu momo achhe priyotomo" is a sublime expression of complete spiritual surrender to the Creator. In this magnificent song, the poet offers all his worldly desires, hopes, affections, and love as a humble tribute at the feet of his Lord. Reflecting on a life spent in pursuit of material attachments, the poet poignantly notes that everything he once claimed as his own has unexpectedly faded away, leaving behind deep sorrow. Yet, amidst the transience of the world, he realizes that the Almighty shines eternally like the North Star (Dhrubotara). Acknowledging that worldly life is merely a mesmerizing 'play of dolls' or a cosmic illusion, the seeker finally steps away from the shroud of delusion to stand at the divine threshold—offering himself as both the devotee and the sacred offering. Sumon Chowdhury’s masterful delivery, combined with the delicate resonance of the Esraj and Flute, beautifully captures the timeless essence of this spiritual journey.

‘যাহা কিছু মম আছে প্রিয়তম’ গানটি পরমেশ্বরের প্রতি সম্পূর্ণ আত্মসমর্পণের এক অপূর্ব আধ্যাত্মিক অভিব্যক্তি। এই গানে কবি তাঁর জাগতিক সকল বাসনা, প্রত্যাশা, অনুরাগ ও ভালোবাসাকে পরম প্রভুর চরণে বিনম্র চিত্তে নিবেদন করেছেন। অতিবাহিত জীবনে মানুষ নিজের বলে যা কিছু আঁকড়ে ধরার চেষ্টা করে, তা যে আসলে কত ক্ষণস্থায়ী, কবি এখানে সেই আক্ষেপ প্রকাশ করেছেন। জাগতিক সব কিছু হারিয়ে ফেলার গভীর দুঃখে বারবার ব্যথিত হয়ে কবি উপলব্ধি করেছেন যে, এই নশ্বর পৃথিবীর সবকিছু হারিয়ে গেলেও একমাত্র সৃষ্টিকর্তাই পরম সত্য, যিনি চিদাকাশে ধ্রুবতারার মতো অহর্নিশি জেগে রয়েছেন। গানটির শেষ অংশে কবি এই সংসারকে একটি মায়াময় প্রপঞ্চ বা পুতুল খেলার সাথে তুলনা করেছেন। মানুষ এই মোহের খেলায় মেতে জীবনের প্রকৃত সত্যকে ভুলে থাকে। জীবনের শেষ লগ্নে এসে মোহমুক্ত হয়ে কবি আজ তাঁর আরাধ্য প্রভুর দুয়ারে এসে দাঁড়িয়েছেন—যেখানে তিনি নিজেই নিজের শেষ নৈবেদ্য ও পূজারী। প্রখ্যাত শিল্পী সুমন চৌধুরীর শাস্ত্রীয় ও দরদি কণ্ঠ এবং তার সাথে এসরাজ ও বাঁশির যুগলবন্দি গানটির এই আধ্যাত্মিক আকুলতাকে চমৎকারভাবে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছে।
