Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Aroma Housewares ASP-137 3-Quart/10-inch 3-in-1 Super Pot with Grill Plate.

Aroma sent me this sample so I could tell you what I think of it. Let’s go ahead and test this 3 in 1 Pot. This is the cool touch base. Put the pot into the base, it should snap in, the pot is cast aluminum and has a non-stick interior. This is the temperature control probe. Plug that into the port in the base. The dial should be off. The cord is inches long. Plug the cord into an outlet. First I’ll try the grill function. Before using, wash the pot, base and lid with warm, soapy water and dry. Rub the surface with a little oil. There’s no preheating, you can put the food in the pot and let it heat up.
Here are two chicken breasts. I’ve marinated them for 15 minutes in olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Put the chicken breasts on the grill. To grill, we can set the dial to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. The indicator light will come on. The light turns off when the pot reaches the set temperature. You can cover the pot or not when grilling. Depends on what you’re cooking and how fast you want it done. Use the glass lid when you’re simmering, steaming or slow cooking. Since the surface is non-stick, don’t use metal utensils as they could scratch the surface. When you’re finished cooking, turn the dial to off and unplug the unit. Remove the probe. When it’s cool, you can put all the parts in the dishwasher or wash with warm soapy water. Dry all the parts before using.
Next, we’ll try the steam function. Put the food on a metal rack, a heat-safe dish or directly on the grill. Pour one cup of water. This is 3 cups of fresh broccoli cut up. Put the lid on. Turn the dial to high setting. The instruction manual has a guide with cooking times for food.
There are a few recipes in the manual. A quick start guide is also included.
Simmer - pork chops with onions.
If you’re using this pot to slow cook for hours, it’s best to use a lower temperature.
