"Town Hall If Wet" And that's exactly where 1987's May Day ended up. This had happened at least once a decade in previous years and a very wet 5 times during the 1960s! St Mary's crowned Kerry Bond as the May Queen, and though the quality isn't as good as usual (I don't own the original) you may be able to spot a professional film crew there to film a segment for 'Reflections Of Scilly'. Lots of familiar faces including SMP's very own mod, George as Captain of the Band! (sorry George!).
May Day enjoyed a sunny reign for 16 years after this and didn't find itself back in the Town Hall until 2003!
