Seiko 5 - Best Budget Automatic Watch for Summer 2019 (Vintage vs. New)

Seiko 5 watches are often the first Seiko automatic watches that collectors start off with and usually end up owning throughout the years.

In this video, we take a look at two Seiko 5 models — one vintage Seiko 5 (Seiko 6309) and one modern model (SNKK65).

The vintage model houses the 6309 movement while the SNKK65 houses the popular Seiko 7S26 also found in the SKX line of divers by Seiko.

Seiko 5 watches are considered to be cheap Japanese watches that are of heirloom quality. Many Seiko automatics are highly coveted by collectors who prefer 38mm watches.
