2nd Home Gemmology - Precious Corals, an overview

In the 2nd Home Gemmology webinar, later supported by CIBJO - The World Jewellery Confederation and co-hosted by Edward Johnson GG, the topic is precious corals. In this brief overview, with Vincenzo Liverino, president of the Coral Commission of CIBJO, as the very special guest, we offer a clarification on the jewellery trade's nomenclature for corals used in decorative arts and crafts, the definition of the precious coral species (of the Corallidae family) and discuss current conservation issues as recommended by CITES. In the introduction, the cultural and historical importance of precious coral is discussed.
In the end of the webinar, the Q&A session is secured by Vincenzo Liverino that shares his vast knowledge and experience with the attendees.
