Installing a Raspberry Pi 0 in the ZX Spectrum Next.

This is not a guide.

Dear retro computing boys & girls - welcome to a new casual video. In this short video, I attach a 40 pin female GPIO (or IDC?) header to a Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3, and install it in my ZX Spectrum Next. It acts as an accelerator, and enables you to load .TZX files. As you can see, I install a 32gb microSD card in the Pi. This is overkill, as just 1gb is needed for that. Incidently, a 1gb microSD card came with the ZX Spectrum Next machine (for system files, games etc.). I decided to swap these. That just made sense.

For those who don't know about the ZX Spectrum Next, it is the newest Spectrum computer which was realised through a kickstarter campaign, back in april 2017 (see links below). Key people from back in the day was involved in the project, like Jim Bagley and the late Rick Dickinson. The machines just started shipping to the backers in February 2020. That I know of, it is sadly not for sale to general public (as of March 2020). But they ARE planning to do a second run, so be sure to keep an eye on kickstarter.com!
