reading the lyrics after listening to this, i feel so deeply connected to this song. my dad recently went through a bout of mental illness and was put on prescriptions that kept him sane but also left him numb. he's struggled to get his creative spark back, struggled to think and feel deeply about things...

i think of my friends who struggle with SH and my own bouts of depression, i think of that numb feeling that's so comforting but so dangerous...and of course, the realization that the worst feelings are also strangely the ones that make me feel alive.

i could go on and on, but i think it'll suffice to say that i really love this song lol
