Pensacola Man Convicted of Attempted Murder in Bowling Alley Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old Pensacola man has been convicted of attempted murder in connection with a shooting that occurred near DeLuna Lanes Bowling Alley. The Office of the State Attorney announced on May 21 that Nicholas Vallia was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
The incident took place on September 23, 2023, when Vallia, then 19, shot into a vehicle containing three high school teenagers who had just left the bowling alley. According to investigators, tensions escalated after the students and Vallia exchanged insults in the parking lot. Following the confrontation, Vallia pursued the teenagers and opened fire, hitting the driver in the left arm, with the bullet traveling through his elbow and into his abdomen.
Nicholas Vallia is scheduled to be sentenced on June 18.
