I had to fire my first employee today

I hired my first employee six weeks ago, but it didn’t work out. I thought I’d be able to train and develop him while managing my client workload, but the reality is that I simply don’t have the time. With three new clients coming on recently, my schedule is already stretched, and training someone properly requires more time and structure than I can give right now.

At this stage, I need someone who can hit the ground running, not someone who needs close supervision. The goal of hiring is to reduce my workload, not add to it. Going forward, I’ll focus on bringing in more experienced help, even if it costs more upfront, because the return on time and productivity will be worth it.
