Scratch Building a Fender 5F1 Champ from Scrap Parts.....Part 2
In this Part 2 video, a Fender 5F1 Champ chassis is built from scrap parts, primarily from an early Premier RF Signal Generator, and is tested for its tone and function. In addition, four special features are added to the circuit: a variable negative feedback loop, an adjustable cathode bias resistor, a switchable 4 and 8 ohm speaker output jack, and a virtual center tap for the 6V filament transformer winding (to reduce hum). Each of these features is explained in detail, as is the overall layout and design of the circuit.
