Oregon is the site for The Kruise of Klamath, a car show nestled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, attracting diverse set of cars like a '34 Desoto Airflow, an amazing Cadillac C-Hawk, LaDawri Conquest, a Chevy Fleetside, and a '62 Dodge D100.

Not one to be rodded often, this Desoto (not Chrysler) Airflow hits the mark, with an appropriately blue front end to accentuate that waterfall grill, flowing into that "inverted bathtub" body, molded in fenders to remove the seams, and subtle rainbow stripes misting the body when the light hits the bottom of those falls. Sunroof, luxurious interior, and it all just flows. It's an Airflow after all! Oh, and it has a BLOWN HEMI! No big deal. The Cadillac is the sister car to the Buick Blackhawk concept car, this being a two seat as opposed to a four seater. It's all steel body is fighting to take the mantle of "flow" away from the Desoto, with the again amazing grill being essentially the entire front clip of the LaSalle. The touches of modern, like the wheels, really work well with the old lines. It truly is a a marriage of old to new all around, and the retractable hard top keeps those lines sharp, up or down. YET ANOTHER stunner at this show, and one to stump Dennis is this '60 LaDawri Conquest, essentially a body that you would put on another car, this one being a race chassis. Clearly. More sweeping lines, black cherry and silver, you don't see em', and you definitely don't see em like this! Thoroughly modernized, but still gracing beautiful curved, vintage lines. This '58 (+1/2) Fleetside has every right to join this party. It too has been treated with equal care, and though squared up a bit, has every bit of those fine curves and lines. Quite a lot of body molding and chrome for a truck, accentuated by the custom paint trim, occupying and magnifying those lines. And as has been with all, an "all of the comforts of home" approach to the interior, with leather seats you're almost afraid to touch. Finally, qualifying as another Dennis hasn't seen. the D100 was basically Dodge's suburban, this carry-all being far more beastly than it's modern day contemporaries. Here too, it's better than showroom, though closer to stock than what we've seen today, except for the camper midsection! Dressed up nice, warm and inviting, you won't see another like it, or any of the cars we've seen here.

Truly a stunning set of cars this week. Appropriate for such a stunning place. Beauty on beauty one beauty!
